With these gestures the “lier” is typically trying to cover their mouth and facial expressions or sooth themselves through rubbing a certain area. 2. Verbal / Non-verbal disconnect Have you ever seen someone agree with another person by saying “yeah” as they shake their head as if they are saying “no”.  This is their actual reaction coming out in the form of body language vs. what they think they should be saying to appease the other person. 3.
